WildMorph

Privacy Policy

Last updated: October 4, 2026

Overview

WildMorph ("we", "us", "our") is published by ArcStax. This policy explains what information the app collects, how it is used, and your rights.

We do not create user accounts, we do not sell your data, and ArcStax does not use your photos to train AI models. To create a morph, your photo is sent to fal.ai, a third-party AI service whose own use of it is governed by fal.ai's privacy policy (see Third-party services).

Information we collect

Photos

When you create a morph, your photo is uploaded to our server and forwarded to fal.ai, an independent third-party AI service that performs the transformation. Our own server does not keep a copy of your photo. fal.ai stores your photo and the generated morph on its systems, and a record of each request, including the photo and the result, is kept in WildMorph's fal.ai account history, which ArcStax can access. We keep this history to operate the service, investigate problems and reports, and prevent abuse, and we keep it until you ask us to delete it (see Your rights).

Your original photo is deleted from fal.ai's content network automatically within 24 hours (this applies to photos uploaded since October 4, 2026). The generated morph is kept there for at least 7 days and can be reached by anyone who has its link until it expires. fal.ai's own use and retention of submitted images is governed by fal.ai's privacy policy, which we encourage you to review. When you share or save a morph, WildMorph exports a copy of the image from your device. It does not share or publish the fal.ai link, which is kept only in your on-device history and is never transmitted by the app.

Face data

The photo you take or select to create a morph may include your face. WildMorph does not collect, store, or process biometric or face-recognition data, does not use facial recognition, and does not use your photos to identify you. We do not use the TrueDepth camera or any face-tracking technology.

Purchase data

In-app purchases are handled by Apple (App Store) and Google Play, and managed via RevenueCat. We receive only anonymised purchase receipts — we never see your payment card details.

Device identifier

WildMorph creates a device identifier so that your credit balance and any animal packs you buy stay attached to your device. It is sent to our server with morph and purchase requests, and our server uses it as the key for your balance. It is not your name, email address, phone number, or advertising identifier. It is not shared with advertisers or data brokers, and it is not used to track you across other apps or websites.

On iOS the identifier is a random value generated the first time you open the app and kept in the device Keychain. On Android it is derived from the operating system's app-scoped identifier for WildMorph using a one-way hash — the underlying value is never sent to us or stored by us, and the result cannot be used to recognise your device outside WildMorph.

On both platforms the identifier is deliberately stable across reinstalling the app. That is what allows credits you have paid for to survive a reinstall, and what stops the free-morph allowance being claimed over and over on the same device. Uninstalling WildMorph does not reset it; a factory reset does.

Usage and analytics data

We use PostHog, a third-party product-analytics service, to understand how the app is used so we can improve it. We collect anonymous events about how you interact with WildMorph — for example, starting a morph, which animal you choose to morph into, completing a morph, saving or sharing a finished morph, viewing the purchase screen, completing or cancelling a purchase, and whether we showed you the App Store rating prompt — along with basic technical context such as app version and operating system. This information is associated only with a randomly generated, app-specific identifier; it is not linked to your name, email, or your device's advertising identifier, and it is never used to track you across other apps or websites. We do not send your photos or any personally identifying information to PostHog.

Error reports

WildMorph uses Sentry, both in the app and on our server, to capture crash and error data. Error reports may include the type of action that failed and device metadata (OS version, app version), but do not include photos or personal identifiers.

How we use your information

  • Generating your animal morph
  • Investigating problems and reports about morphs, and preventing abuse
  • Processing and restoring in-app purchases
  • Keeping your credit balance and purchased packs attached to your device
  • Preventing repeated claiming of the free-morph allowance
  • Understanding how the app is used and improving its features and reliability
  • Diagnosing server errors
  • Complying with legal obligations

We do not use your data to serve you targeted advertising, we do not sell your data, and we do not share it with advertising networks or data brokers. We share data only with the third-party services listed below, and only the minimum each service needs to function.

AI-generated content

WildMorph uses third-party generative AI to transform the photo you provide into an animal image. These results are produced automatically and are unpredictable — they may be inaccurate, distorted, or unexpected, and we do not review every image before it is returned to you. Your use of generated images, and the standards that apply to creating them, are governed by our Terms of Use.

Third-party services

WildMorph relies on the following services that may process your data:

  • fal.ai — AI image transformation, image storage, and request history
  • RevenueCat — in-app purchase management
  • Apple — payment processing and App Store distribution
  • Google Play — payment processing and Play Store distribution
  • PostHog — anonymous product analytics
  • Sentry — crash and error monitoring, in the app and on our server
  • Expo / EAS — app builds and over-the-air updates
  • Vercel — hosting and API infrastructure
  • Upstash — server-side storage of credit balances and abuse-prevention records

Each provider operates under its own privacy policy, and we only share data with third parties that provide data protection consistent with this policy. We share only the minimum data required for each service to function. In particular, your photo is shared with fal.ai solely to generate your morph, and fal.ai's processing of it is governed by fal.ai's privacy policy.

On-device storage and your credit balance

Your morph history is stored locally on your device using AsyncStorage. It does not leave your device, and it is deleted when you use the "Clear All Morphs" option in Settings or when you uninstall the app.

Your credit balance is not only local. It is held on our server, keyed to the device identifier described above, so that credits you have paid for survive reinstalling the app and cannot be altered from your device. The app keeps a cached copy of the balance so it can be shown instantly and while offline, but the value on our server is the authoritative one. The stored record contains the device identifier and a number of credits — it contains no photos and nothing that identifies you personally.

Children's privacy

WildMorph is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal data, please contact us at wildmorph@arcstax.com and we will promptly delete it as described under Your rights.

Your rights

WildMorph does not create accounts, and we do not hold your name or email address. We keep two kinds of data relating to your use of the app: the credit-balance record described above, which is held against the device identifier rather than against you personally, and the request history in WildMorph's fal.ai account described under Information we collect, which contains your photos and morphs but no name, email address, or device identifier.

To have your morphs deleted, email wildmorph@arcstax.com with the morph image (or a screenshot of it) and roughly when you made it, so we can find the matching requests. We will delete the request records and generated morphs from WildMorph's fal.ai account history within 30 days. Original photos uploaded since October 4, 2026 are already deleted automatically within 24 hours. fal.ai does not let us delete older original photos directly, so for those we will ask fal.ai to remove them on your behalf.

To have your credit-balance record deleted, contact the same address. Deleting it also removes any unused credits attached to it, including purchased ones, so we will confirm with you before acting. For any other question about data relating to your use of the app, contact the same address and we will respond within 30 days.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. The revised version will be posted here with an updated date. Continued use of the app after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
